Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue has emerged as a massage therapist's tool during the last fifteen years.

Rather than a cohesive massage form Deep Tissue is any number of techniques and strokes of deep massage used to relieve muscular tension, injury, strain and structural distortion. The aim of deep tissue is to break up chronic patterns of tension in muscles, layer by layer, working out strains and adhesions. As the tension is diminished the muscles and surrounding fascia lengthen then reorganize along optimum patterns.
